About Me
I have worked as a professionally qualified careers adviser for over 20 years, gaining experience in a number of organisations including The Connexions Service in Devon and Cornwall and CSW Group. Between 2015 and 2024, I was the careers adviser for The Learning Institute, a higher education provider of education degrees affiliated to the University of Worcester. Since 2014, I have been working as an independent careers adviser, successfully negotiating contracts to deliver an impartial careers information, advice and guidance service to young people aged 13-19 in KEVICC Totnes and Kingsbridge Community College. This year, I have also worked for SEETEC delivering guidance in Colyton Grammar and Braunton Academy. My role includes one to one universal and targeted guidance, leading groupwork, collaborating with other agencies, delivering presentations to parents/carers and attending parents evenings.I am registered with the online DBS service and complete annual safeguarding training. As a Registered Career Development Professional with the CDI, I undertake a minimum of 25 hrs CPD annually.
I have Public Liability and Professional and Indemnity cover.
