About Me

Registered Career Development Professional with over 20 years’ experience in careers and employability. I work as a Teaching Assessor at Ixion (part of Shaw Trust), supporting Level 6 Career Development Professional apprentices, and I am also the founder of FocusWorks, delivering practical professional development and tools to strengthen careers practice.

I'm passionate about empowering others to develop their potential and build confidence in their abilities. Whether I'm designing curricula, coaching individuals, or facilitating group learning, my goal is always to create that moment when understanding clicks and people realise they're capable of more than they thought they were.

What I bring:

Confidence-building facilitation - I create psychologically safe learning environments where people discover they have the answers within themselves

Authentic relationship building - My honest, collaborative approach builds lasting partnerships with people who return year after year

Creative problem-solving - I love bringing subjects to life through storytelling, logical sequencing, and interactive learning experiences

Inclusive learning advocate - I'm committed to creating learning environments where everyone feels valued and supported, standing up for those who need it and ensuring all learners can thrive regardless of their background

Resilient adaptation - I thrive in changing environments, quickly pivoting and finding new opportunities through strong professional networks

Systems redesign expertise - I see patterns where others see problems, creating curricula and structured learning paths that keep learners engaged and progressing
