About Me

I qualified as a career development professional in 2014 and I love it. I get to use my skills to lead useful chats with people making their way through education and work about what’s going on for them, and help them make progress with it. I switch between careers coaching, careers guidance and careers counselling to suit each individual situation - it's not necessarily helpful for most people to know the ins and outs of these terms! The important thing is that these conversations bring about clarity, get people unstuck, generate new insights and possibilities, strengthen applications, bring job offers, renew self-belief and confidence and make decisions easier.

My career has been full of switches and learning as I've followed things that I value and used my skills and experience in different directions that have interested me. I’ve been working for 20 years now, in leadership, management and careers roles in private companies, schools, unis and charities. I've also volunteered a lot. I’ve been employed and self-employed and for the last couple of years I've mixed the two. Whatever I do, my approach is thoughtful, calm, honest and productive.
