About Me

I am the Careers and Progression Officer at Richard Taunton Sixth Form College. I work with students in Year 12 to Year 14 on a range of careers and progression activities which include 1 to 1 careers information, advice and guidance, small and large group work and programme delivery, delivery of employability sessions at both the sixth form college and our feeder secondary schools, provide support for parents and students signposting to other services such as wellbeing and welfare, attend the college sixth form open evenings and Post 16 evenings at secondary schools, work with parents, carers and college staff to support individual student needs and design and develop career programmes/resources to inspire young people as well as career resources. At Richard Taunton Sixth Form College, we will challenge the students to be the best they can be. Our goal is to help young people become well-rounded individuals with the skills and knowledge to successfully progress on to their chosen destination. the expectations we have are based on 3 key words: Respect, Responsibility and Ambition. We provide high quality services to ensure we meet the requirements of the Careers Strategy which includes the Gatsby Benchmarks. This is achieved through the delivery of Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG), Work Experience, Experiences of the Workplace and Employer Led Interactions (Work Related Learning). We are a Matrix accredited careers service at the sixth form college.
