About Me
I currently work as a Head of Careers IAG. In my previous role I worked a careers and work experience leader in 11-16 high school. During my career as a guidance practitioner I have worked with young people in school settings and those who have left education and are not in training or education provision (NEET). As part of the NEET team I worked externally from schools with teen parents, those with learning difficulties and young offenders. Before training to be a careers advisor I worked within education welfare where I gained experience and knowledge of the difficulties and barriers young people can face which in turn prevents them being able to engage with learning and training opportunities. I offer one to one careers advice to young people, support them with their work experience placements, CV writing and interview preparation. I work with colleagues to develop careers sessions, CEC to achieve Gatsby benchmarks and parents/carers to help provide holistic support to young people with careers decisions.Method of delivery
