About Me

Employed in careers education for 15 years, in schools both state and private sectors, giving 1:1 guidance for young people of all ages (including Sixth Form) including specialist schools for dyslexia and autism and with young people who have been subject to trauma.

I have previously worked as a careers coach for East Sussex County Council specialising in adult clients facing redundancy and been an assessor for Level 6 Careers Development and Advice learners.

• Level 6 qualified in Careers Guidance and Development.

My academic interests are centred in marginalised groups in the workplace and I am currently involved in a study of non-professional menopausal women at work for a PhD for City, University of London. I have previously had papers published on careers advisers and their attitudes to weight and an evaluation of Barnardos provision for young people in South London
