About Me

Claire has over 20 years’ experience as an Occupational Psychologist, coach and facilitator. She is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, Chartered member of the Division of Occupational Psychologists and a Chartered Scientist, and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. She works with individuals, teams and organisations across the private, public and third sectors. Claire’s early career involved office and facilities management roles in the City of London during the run-up to the de-regulation of the financial markets, from which she gained project and client management skills. Following completion of a master’s degree, she joined Coutts Career Consultants and was promoted to Managing Psychologist shortly thereafter. Whilst at Coutts, she streamlined the use of psychometric assessment across the outplacement division, upskilling the cadre of Career Consultants to deliver 1:1 psychometric feedback to clients, and was involved in a range of assessment centre, team development, coaching and organisational change interventions to a variety of blue-chip and public sector clients.

Since 2001, Claire has worked in private practice. She is in demand as an assessor and coach, designing and delivering programmes to assess, select and develop talent from graduate level to C-suite. She has supported many multi-national companies, SMEs, Government departments, non-profit organisations and international NGOs, and the NHS in the assessment and development of senior and middle-ranking executives. Her work has taken her to Europe, South Africa, South America, USA, Canada, Australia and Israel and she has considerable experience in working remotely with candidates from overseas.

Claire is accredited to use an extensive range of ability, personality and behavioural profiling tools. She is skilled in the selection and application of assessment tools for the purposes of recruitment and talent identification, individual growth and group coaching. Passionate about individual and team development her coaching approach is eclectic, combining behavioural assessment with neuroscience, positive psychology and Conversational Intelligence to enhance performance and facilitate career development. She aims to raise self-awareness and increase behavioural flexibility in her clients, enhancing consciousness of self, others and context. She works to develop in her clients a keen insight into core strengths and motivational needs, together with an understanding of the impact of over- or under-played behaviours. Claire preferred assessment for career development and coaching is Birkman, for which she is a Master Certified practitioner and an authorised trainer on behalf of Birkman International.
