About Me
HE based careers practitioner, currently working as an Alumni Engagement Career Consultant with The University of Huddersfield whilst also contributing to a range of wider careers-related projects via content creation, editing and consultation.
Experienced in delivering CEIAG to a variety of client groups, including school, college and university students, unemployed adults and mid-life career changers, I have previously developed a high-quality careers provision in a secondary school, gaining recognition from National Careers Week as well as completing the Teach First Careers and Employability Leadership Programme and securing the Quality in Careers Standard (QiCS) for the institution. Now based in the higher education sector, I maintain membership of the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS) and support the career development of undergraduate/postgraduate students and graduates through 1:1 guidance, group workshops and targeted interventions delivered in partnership with careers service colleagues, academic and other stakeholders, such as the Students' Union.
An avid reader and contributor to careers communities of interest on LinkedIn and other social media platforms, I am a member of the Career Writers' Association and also undertake careers writing part-time alongside my career development work, as well as co-hosting the CDI's fortnightly topical careers livestream, the #WeAreCareers show. I am always looking for opportunities to network with other career development practitioners or support new projects around the Yorkshire region and beyond, so please get in touch if you would like to discuss anything careers-related!
