About Me
I am a qualified and experienced Careers Adviser (with a Level 6 qualification in Careers Education and Guidance, abiding by the CDI code of ethics). I was the Careers Lead at St Peter's Catholic School for 12 years, developing and delivering Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) provision to students in Key Stage 3,4 and 5 (years 7 to 13). My careers provision was described as 'exceptional' by OFSTED (2013) and the school was re-accredited twice with the Investor in Careers quality award. In 2013 I won a UK Career Development Award (CDI) for my work engaging with employers and in 2017, I won a STEM Educator Award for my work inspiring students to consider STEM careers.
Young people have to make a number of important decisions about their future plans during their time in full-time education. These can be confusing if they do not receive appropriate advice to help them make informed decisions. I am passionate about making sure that students have the information they need to make the right choices for them.
