About Me

I am employed as a Careers Adviser & Co-ordinator working with young people aged 11-18 at Urmston Grammar School based in Trafford, Greater Manchester. I studied at Nottingham Trent University, achieving the Level 7 Qualification in Careers Guidance in 2004. In addition, I hold the LDSS NVQ Level 4 and the Diploma in Careers Education. With over twenty years of experience I enjoy supporting young people to flourish, mainly delivered through one to one careers guidance. I led on the Quality in Careers Standard Award, first achieved in July 2018, and re-accredited in 2021 and 2024. Working within a highly supportive school, we were the first grammar school and school with a sixth form in Trafford, and the second school in the area, to achieve 100% in all 8 Gatsby Benchmarks in June 2022. As a Registered Career Development Professional I abide by the CDI's Code of Ethics and undertake the required 25 hours of CPD each year.
