About Me

I am the Careers Consultant at Arden University’s Newcastle campus, providing personalised careers guidance to students both locally and across the university through online appointments. My role combines one-to-one career development support with the design and delivery of employability workshops, CV and LinkedIn reviews, drop-in sessions, and careers education initiatives that help students build confidence and achieve their professional goals.

A core aspect of my work involves collaborating with academic colleagues, particularly those delivering Foundation Year and Foundation Degree programmes, to embed career learning within the curriculum and ensure students develop the skills and awareness needed for future success. Working across multiple departments at the Newcastle campus, I support Arden’s commitment to widening participation by preparing students for the workforce and encouraging engagement with opportunities throughout their studies.

I recently completed the Level 7 Qualification in Career Development with the CDI and the PGDip in Career Guidance and Development. My professional interests include ethical careers guidance, social justice, and improving career support for underrepresented groups, including care-experienced learners, young carers, students with a disability, and refugees.
