Widening the opportunities for Prison leavers in North Wales

Business News Wales reports that supporting prison leavers is becoming a priority within the North Wales skills agenda. The initiative recognises that helping individuals leaving custody to access training, employment, and support services is vital for both social inclusion and economic growth.

By engaging employers and education providers, the programme aims to reduce reoffending, build confidence, and create pathways into sustainable work. It also highlights the importance of addressing barriers faced by prison leavers, ensuring they can contribute positively to the regional workforce.
