UK hiring conditions improve
The latest update on the jobs market from KPMG and the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) shows a relative improvement in hiring conditions across the UK.
The UK Report on Jobs shows that the number of permanent jobs has stabilised and there has been an increase in the number of temporary roles on offer for the first time in two years. Pay indicators suggest stronger increases in starting salaries and temporary wages.
While the volume of candidates is still rising, the rate of increase has slowed. Some recruiters still share that they struggle to find suitably skilled candidates.
London and the Midlands saw the strongest growth, while the South and North saw further declines.
