UK Government publishes progression maps for V Levels
The UK Government has published progression maps for V Levels, Foundation and Occupational Certificates, highlighting the post-16 options available for the new qualifications from September 2027.
These example progression pathways for the new qualifications aim to provide accurate and easy-to-understand information for students and providers. The resource includes an introduction of V Levels as a qualification then progress maps for each subject covered by the qualification showing pathways up to level 6.
The section on Foundation and Occupational Certificates outlines these new level 2 pathways, to be rolled out between 2027 and 2030. Progression maps are again provided for each subject area, showing progression from level 2 to level 3 options.
