Training increases worker pay and likelihood of moving into skilled roles

The Learning & Work Institute has published its ‘No train no gain’ report, supported by Multiverse, demonstrating that workers who have access to, and take part in, training, are more likely to receive higher pay, will see faster and more sustained pay growth and are more likely to develop into higher skilled roles.

The report comes amid calls to reverse the significant cuts to government and employer investment in training over a decade or more, especially at level 2 qualifications which are key for those in lower paid roles.

The report calls for an urgent approach to increasing training investment, to upskill and retrain the workforce to meet the future needs of the economy.
