Schools recognised in Careers Wales Quality Award pilot
Careers Wales has announced that a group of schools from across Wales have successfully completed the pilot phase of the new Careers Wales Quality Award (CWQA), a refreshed framework designed to help education providers strengthen their careers and work‑related experiences. The pilot involved primary, secondary and special schools, each working closely with Careers Wales advisers to evaluate their provision, identify strengths and embed improvements aligned to the new national model.
The updated award places greater emphasis on whole‑school approaches, employer engagement, learner voice and the integration of careers education across the curriculum. Schools involved in the pilot reported clearer structures for planning and evaluating CEIAG, stronger links with employers and improved confidence in delivering high‑quality careers learning.
