Pilot housing association employment programme helps people into work
The Learning & Work Institute are leading JobsPlus pilots that provide focused employment support with additional wider services to social housing residents. The pilot is working across ten sites, working with landlords to provide a community-ed approach.
Over 700 people have engaged with the pilots so far and 150 have found work. Social housing residents make up around a quarter of all those economically inactive across the UK, so trialling such initiatives helps identify successful methods of helping people.
Crucially, the pilots are open to all residents, not just those meeting additional criteria.
