NHS Wales launches People Professions Map to strengthen workforce skills
Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) has launched the NHS Wales People Professions Map, designed to strengthen skills and capabilities across the health and care workforce. The map provides a clear framework, outlining the knowledge, behaviours and values required to support staff and deliver high-quality services.
It aims to improve consistency, professional identity, and career pathways for those working in HR, organisational development and related roles. By aligning with national workforce priorities, the map supports the development of a confident, skilled, and adaptable workforce to meet future challenges in health and care.
