New career planning website for New Zealand
The Tertiary Education Commission in New Zealand has published the latest version of the government’s careers website. Tahatu Career Navigator is the next generation of the careers.govt.nz website and aims to serve as a ‘one-stop career shop, it links students’ interests and values to potential careers’.
The website profiles around 100 school subjects, 4,000 qualifications and over 800 career paths. The new website aims to build on the four million visits a year to the old website, to help all young people to make decisions. The website was developed with input from students, careers advisers and teachers, and is designed to start with broad opportunities then narrow slowly towards specific roles.
