Mobile Jobcentres to roll out to six more areas of England and Wales
DWP will roll out six more Jobcentres on Wheels across England and Wales, offering people support in their communities.
After the pilot project in the Scottish highlands, North and Mid Wales and Greater Manchester supported 1,600 people, the DWP has announced that six more areas will get mobile Jobcentre vans. The areas to be covered are Wakefield, North Nottinghamshire, Barrow-in-Furness, Blackpool, Clevedon and Rhondda Cynon Taf/Bridgend.
The vans support existing DWP clients as well as members of the public in the local communities. The vans give a chance to meet work coaches in their local community, with vans visiting leisure centres, supermarkets and football stadiums.
