Medr opens consultation into new apprenticeship programme in Wales
Medr are designing the new apprenticeship programme for Wales to meet the Welsh Government’s skills priorities, as well as the needs of learners and employers. The new programme will launch on 1st August 2027 and Medr are conducting a consultation exercise – seeking written submissions as well as opportunitie4s to attend online and in-person events.
Medr have already defined the high-level principles for the new apprenticeship programme and are seeking feedback from individuals and organisations, including learners who have experience of apprenticeships, to help shape the development, delivery and management of apprenticeships.
They are seeking views on a number of areas including the high-level principles, the apprentice learner journey, employer engagement, flexible delivery and strengthening Welsh language opportunities.
Events are being held from 24th September through to 15th October and the consultation closes on 31st October.
