

KPMG/REC report on jobs shows slower reduction in staff hiring
KPMG and the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) have published their latest UK Jobs Report for August, showing a slowing decline in staff hiring, blamed on uncertainty over the economy and costs.
Recruiters showed lower permanent placements and temporary staff billing, though the rate of decline was the lowest in the last three months. Falls in vacancies and increases in redundancies means there are more candidates available for roles.
