International briefing on career guidance in public employment services
The ICCDPP, with WAPES and the University of Derby, has published a briefing paper highlighting the critical role of careers guidance in public employment services.
The service needs qualified staff, supportive policy and sustained investment, and through that can help citizens gain access to education, training and employment, address labour market mismatches and be a key part of labour market policies.
The briefing includes key insights from the global survey of Public Employment Services, including where careers guidance tends to be focused within those services, emerging trends, challenges and success factors.
