Feedback on Skills England’s occupational maps
Skills England are seeking feedback from career development professionals on the new occupational maps.
Skills England recently launched the occupational maps as a public beta website – to encourage people to use them and feedback, before the full version is released. The maps are a visual representation of technical education skills, allowing a user to explore apprenticeships and the technical qualifications available.
You can explore the occupational maps using the visual at the top of the page or search by occupation or code. Progression maps show the potential career paths between occupations, with transferable or similar knowledge and skills, to help explore potential career options. Technical education progression profiles show the range of opportunities available to learners following completion of a technical education product, such as a T Level.
You can create an account for the site to save favourite occupational maps, and there are links to an apprenticeship finder and skills bootcamps.
Skills England are seeking feedback from a wide range of users and potential users, including career development professionals. The survey is designed to be completed in 5-7 minutes and seeks your feedback on using the tool, so that it can continue to be improved.
