Empowering Educators: Careers Wales Launches New CWRE Training Programme

Careers Wales unveiled its 2025–2026 programme, offering practical training to embed Careers and Work-Related Experiences (CWRE) into the Curriculum for Wales.

The new programme provides a wide range of online sessions—available in both Welsh and English—designed to help educators confidently integrate CWRE into their teaching. Delivered via Microsoft Teams, the sessions are accessible and scheduled across the academic year to suit busy timetables.

Key autumn term sessions include:
  • CWRE Policy Development
  • Careers in Your Curriculum
  • AI for Careers in the Classroom
  • CWRE Audit Training
  • Governor Training
Since launching in 2024, the programme has seen strong engagement, with teachers praising its relevance and usefulness. The training supports educators in evaluating schemes of learning and embedding career-related content meaningfully.

Mark Owen, Head of Services to Stakeholders at Careers Wales commented: “We want to make it as easy as possible for teachers and education professionals to access practical, up-to-date careers information. These events give them the chance to ask questions, share ideas, and build their confidence in supporting young people with their career choices.”
