Eight more universities cut recruitment links to fossil fuel industry
The Guardian reports that another eight universities have cut recruitment links to fossil fuel companies. This takes the total number of universities to take such action to 18, representing around 12% of the sector. The information comes from a study by People and Planet that rates universities against climate and social justice criteria.
The moves mean fossil fuel companies won’t be invited to take part in recruitment fairs, and their roles won’t be advertised at the universities.
