Creative Futures: 5,000 Young People to Benefit from New Creative Careers Initiative
Into Film Cymru has been awarded the contract to deliver the Discover! Creative Careers Cymru programme across Wales in 2025–2026. The initiative aims to reach at least 5,000 young people, helping them explore the full spectrum of careers in the creative and cultural sectors.
Working with ScreenSkills and partners including Arts Council of Wales, Creative Wales, and Games Talent Wales, the programme will offer bilingual activities such as industry visits, workshops, online talks, and careers events at the Into Film Festival.
Careers Wales is supporting the initiative, recognising its potential to raise aspirations and promote diversity in the sector. The programme builds on Into Film’s strong track record, having reached 70% of Welsh schools and colleges since 2013.
For Careers Advisers, this is a valuable opportunity to connect learners with real-world creative pathways and ensure inclusive access to a growing sector. Schools are encouraged to engage early to maximise the benefits for their students.
