CDI to present at Level 3 qualifications reform forum.
The CDI has been invited to present at a conference on Level 3 qualification reform, hosted by the Westminster Education Forum. The 'next steps for Level 3 qualifications reform' conference will focus on how the government is implementing new Post-16 qualifications, including V levels and new Level 2 pathways.
Kim Newman, Technical Education Programme Manager at the CDI will take part in a panel discussion on student progression and how best to signpost to further study, higher education and employment.
The conference takes place shortly after the recently published Post-16 Pathways Implementation Plan, which sets out how the government plan to deliver changes to technical and vocational qualifications. Key themes for discussion include the importance of parity of esteem between academic and technical qualifications, recognition of new qualifications by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and the support required for the transition from Level 2 to V Levels and new Level 2 occupational and further study pathways.
