CDI launches manifesto for careers for Welsh Senedd elections

CDI Cymru Wales Associate Alistair Pitt has produced a manifesto for career development in Wales ahead of the Senedd elections in May.

In the lead-up to the Senedd elections in Wales in May 2026, CDI Cymru Wales Associate Alistair Pitt has consulted with members to produce the CDI’s manifesto for career development.

The manifesto sets out recommendations by the CDI for priorities of Government over the next Senedd term. The recommendations cover four areas in relation to careers education, information, advice and guidance; investment in career education and guidance, a commitment to lifelong guidance, protecting and strengthening a national careers service in Wales and funding fairly and sustainably across the education and training system.

The manifesto is a party-neutral resource for members to share with their local candidates and national parties ahead of the election.
