CDI launches manifesto for careers for Scotland’s elections

CDI Scotland Associate Pete Robertson has created a manifesto for career development in Scotland ahead of the elections in May 2026

In the lead-up to the elections in Scotland in May 2026, CDI Scotland Associate Pete Robertson has held member webinars and sought feedback on key issues to create the CDI’s manifesto for career development to input to the May elections for the Scottish Parliament.

The manifesto reaffirms the CDI’s position that the people of Scotland deserve good careers, and the recommendations cover four critical areas; investment in career education and guidance, a commitment to lifelong learning, reaffirming the commitment to a national careers service and funding fairly and sustainably across the education system.

The manifesto is a party-neutral resource for members to share with their local candidates and national parties ahead of the election.

Our thanks to Pete for his work on this, which is a fitting final addition to his work as he steps down as CDI Scotland Associate at the end of March 2026.
