Business confidence improves in August – Institute of Directors
The August edition of the Economic Confidence Index, a survey of business leaders by the Institute of Directors, saw rising confidence in multiple areas compared to July.
Views of the UK economy, investment intentions, headcount expectations, export outlook and revenue projections were all improved, with some turning from net negative sentiment to net positive.
The greatest concerns remain the economic outlook, taxes and global economic conditions, with a global slowdown the main global risk.
