£45m extension for NEET trailblazer schemes
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has announced that it is extending eight Youth Guarantee trailblazer schemes for an additional year – up to March 2027, with an additional £45m of funding.
The announcement was made as figures show the number of NEET young people continues to rise to 948,000.
The schemes trial a range of activities, run by mayoral combined authorises and the Greater London Authority, with the intention to inform national roll-out of the Youth Guarantee.
