CPD theme: Mental Health Awareness Week
Many of our clients will have experienced some form of trauma, and this can significantly influence how they engage with careers services and navigate their own career development. This webinar introduces the core principles of trauma‑informed practice - psychological safety, trust‑building, transparency, empowerment, choice, strengths‑based approaches and resilience.
Together, we will explore how trauma may show up in clients’ behaviours, emotions, and decision‑making, and consider practical strategies that careers practitioners can use to apply trauma‑informed principles more confidently and compassionately in their work. The session will also create space for discussion and questions, supporting practitioners to feel better equipped to contribute to clients’ healing and progress.
