CDI Professional Certificate - Supporting Clients with Additional Needs

We are delighted to offer this course for Level 6/7 qualified career guidance practitioners working in schools, special schools and colleges to support students with additional needs. The programme aims to develop reflective practice and provide evidence of understanding and competence in working with people who have a health condition, impairment or special educational needs.

The programme for L6/7 qualified Career guidance practitioners aims to develop reflective practice and provide evidence of understanding and competence in working with people who have a health condition, impairment or special educational needs.
This course is offered as a Professional Certificate awarded by the Career Development Institute

Training will include:
  • legislation, support services and transition points for young people with SEND
  • the impact of senses, emotions and external pressures on the guidance process
  • personal and societal perceptions of ‘disability’ and ‘SEND’
  • working with the students support network
  • tools and strategies to support the delivery of career guidance
All participants are required to complete a workbook and submit it for assessment in order to receive the Professional Certificate.

You will receive the following training support:
  • Handbook to support your learning
  • Workbook to evidence your learning
  • Access to additional resources
  • Face to face active learning either in person or on line via zoom
The live online sessions will be conducted on Zoom or Teams and will be recorded so that you can refer to these in future.
