We are delighted to offer this new course for Level 6/7 qualified career guidance practitioners working in schools, special schools and colleges to support students with additional needs.  The programme aims to develop reflective practice and provide evidence of understanding and competence in working with people who have a health condition, impairment or special educational needs.

By the end of the course practitioners will have reflected on –

• legislation, support services and transition points for young people with SEND
• the impact of senses, emotions and external pressures on the guidance process
• personal and societal perceptions of ‘disability’ and ‘SEND’
• working with the students support network
• tools and strategies to support the delivery of career guidance

This course is offered as a Professional Certificate awarded by the Career Development Institute

All participants are required to complete a workbook and submit it for assessment in order to receive the Professional Certificate
