CPD theme: Supporting adults

In this first session of a 2-part series, participants will gain a good understanding of how to support international clients to understand and navigate the UK labour market and use their transferable skills to get employment in the UK.

The session will cover::

• How to transfer international qualifications to the UK context.
• Identifying the most in-demand employability skills in the UK.
• Helping individuals highlight the transferability of their existing skills for the UK labour market.

Participants will be set individual research tasks to help them prepare for the second session in this series.

Satnam Dhaiwal RCDP is a qualified careers adviser with over 3 years' experience in delivering workshops focussing on transferable and job search skills. He has previously worked in several different sectors including logistics, events and waste management.
