In this second session we will look at particular sectors of the UK economy from the perspective of international jobseekers, and the specific skills that they require.  We will look at these clients' transferable skills, and how they can highlight them in CVs, supporting statement and at job interviews.

The session will cover:
  • The core transferable skills currently needed in key UK sectors.
  • Considering the differences between international application and recruitment process and UK-based processes.
  • Supporting international clients to navigate UK-based recruitment processes, highlighting their transferable skills in job applications and at interview.
Satnam Dhaiwal RCDP is a qualified careers adviser with over 3 years' experience in delivering workshops focussing on transferable and job search skills. He has previously worked in several different sectors including logistics, events and waste management.
