In July the DfE announced that delivery of training for 1,000 new careers advisers was unfortunately unaffordable and was additionally unlikely to address many of the barriers that current careers advisers face. The DfE, hearing sector feedback, is now seeking to develop a series of CPD modules to better equip qualified careers advisers to support young people who need additional help. We are seeking the expert input of careers advisers to help us identify where skills gaps currently exist and what would have best impact.
