About Me

I am an independent career coach specialising in supporting clients to redesign their careers at 50+ 

I work with clients who have reached a point in their career or life where they are reassessing what they want or need from work. They may be looking for new career challenges, wanting to make space for other things alongside work, or wondering about leaving work altogether. I support them to reflect, decide and act to make positive changes.

In addition to my professional coaching training, I bring to my work my own lived experience of mid and later career changes and a diversity of professional and managerial experience, mostly in and around higher education. I have worked and led across the areas of career management, skills development and employability; change management and service transformation; and strategy development and implementation, as well as undertaking my own research and writing.

While my background makes me particularly well placed to support clients working in higher education, I find more similarities than differences across the sectors, and I work with clients in any type of role in any sector who are having a rethink about work in mid to later life, typically in their late 40s and upwards.

I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Career Coaching from the Department of Organizational Psychology at Birkbeck College, University of London, in addition to a BA and PhD (University of Reading). I am a Registered Career Development Professional and Member of the Career Development Institute (CDI), through which I engage with other practitioners in the wide field of career development and manage my ongoing professional development.
