The aims of the UK Career Development Awards:

  • To identify and promote excellence in career development
  • To celebrate and generate a sense of pride in the career development profession and our partners
  • To raise the profile of career development and the CDI

We are delighted to announce three major categories and eight individual awards in 2015, sponsored by Qualifications Wales

1. Individual best practice awards

Career Adviser/Coach of the Year

Career Educator of the Year
(sponsored by Investor in Careers - Careers South West)


Rodney Cox Lifetime Achievement Award
(awarded by the CDI Board and sponsored by CFBT)


2. Employer focused best practice awards

Best Employer – Career Development Practices 
(sponsored by Trotman)


Best Employer -  Developing and Supporting Young People 
(sponsored by Careers Wales)


Entrants to these awards do not need to be CDI affiliate organisations, although this is encouraged.

3. Quality and technology awards

Career Assured Awards for products, websites and training courses 
(sponsored by iCeGs, University of Derby)


Best Practice in the Use of Technology in Career Development 
(sponsored by Prospects)


Presentation of the 2015 Awards

The winners will be announced at the UK Career Development Awards Dinner, on Monday 9 November, at the Mercure Holland House Hotel and Spa, Cardiff.


An article on the UKCDA will appear in the June edition of Career Matters.

The names of all short listed entries and sponsors will be promoted in a in a pre-awards brochure. All winners will receive a certificate and specially commissioned piece of crystal presented by the Award’s sponsor.

A brochure highlighting all the winners and sponsors will be sent to all members with the January 2016 edition of Career Matters.
