The CDI won a tender to support this high profile event and will be helping to run the Careers Education Zone funded by LifeSkills created with Barclays. This dedicated space in Hall 2 at the NEC, Birmingham brings together the UK leaders in Careers Education in one place – allowing parents, teachers, lecturers and careers professionals to be inspired and resourced to support young people in an engaging and impactful way.

A dedicated theatre will host topical and interesting seminars, covering a wide range subjects over the three days of the show.  The Skills Show, in conjunction with the CDI is also running a series of CPD accredited seminars, aimed at careers advisers, careers educators and teachers. These free seminars run for one hour and cover the following subject areas:

  • Teaching Employability Skills
  • What’s New is Apprenticeships and Traineeships?
  • The Case for Employer Engagement in Education
  • Building Effective Careers Programmes
  • Successful Career Coaching
  • Digital Job Search

Places for each seminars are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis - see the Seminar Programme booklet
