The benefits of being a student member of the CDI

It’s fantastic that you are studying a qualification which enables you to provide professional personal career guidance/coaching. There has never been a more important time to join the career development profession as clients of all ages need professional career guidance/coaching to plan their careers in an uncertain climate of redundancies, fast changing labour markets, emerging career opportunities and the importance of work/life balance.

Becoming a student member of the CDI brings a whole range of benefits all of which will support you in your studies and then during your working life once you are qualified.

As a student you receive exactly the same membership benefits as full members but for almost half the price of £55. Full membership costs £105.

  • Free access to the CDI Student Conferences (England and Scotland) which will be virtual in 2021. Dates tbc but will appear in the Training and Events section of the website

UK Register of Career Development Professionals

Once you are qualified and become a full CDI member you can join the UK Register of Career Development Professionals as proof of your level of qualification, adherence to the CDI Code of Ethics and updating your skills and knowledge by undertaking 25 hours of CPD each year.

Membership Fee 2020-21

£55 plus a one off £25 admin fee.

Payment is easy, by credit/debit card through the website or by phone.

All student members will receive an online Welcome Pack.
