
The UK Career Development Awards are a high point in the CDI event calendar, when we recognise and celebrate excellence across the career development sector, in the UK and internationally.

2023 Awards categories
There are nine awards categories:
- Public sector Careers Adviser/Coach of the year
- Private sector Careers Coach/Consultant of the year
- Careers Leader of the year
- Careers programme – pre-16 education
- Careers programme – post 16 education
- Innovative employer engagement activity
- Use of technology in career development
- Research by a career development practitioner
- Rodney Cox Lifetime Achievement Award
The Rodney Cox Lifetime Achievement Award will be nominated, agreed and presented by the CDI Board, led by the elected President.

You can find detailed information in the Notes for Entrants and download the entry form here . A separate form must be submitted for each award category entered.
Please remember, nominations need to be sent to ukcda@thecdi.net by 5pm on Wednesday 15 February 2023.
Who can enter?
Any type of member, including student members or affiliate organisation can nominate or self-nominate for any or all of the first eight award categories.

The Awards Ceremony
In 2023 the Awards will be presented at the UKCDA ceremony to be held in-person in on 26 June, the evening before the National Careers Leaders’ Conference in Derby. We will confirm the location as soon as possible.
