With Theresa May’s cabinet reshuffle finally complete, there is an emerging clarity of Ministerial responsibilities. Justine Greening was appointed Secretary of State for Education and Minister for Women and Equalities. It was announced that the Department for BIS will be replaced by a new Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, with sole responsibility for skills, Apprenticeships, NCS, and Higher Education, have moved into the DfE.

The new Minister of State is Robert Halfron and we believe that he will lead on CEIAG - http://feweek.co.uk/2016/07/17/robert-halfon-announced-as-new-minister-at-dfe/ (Minister Sam Gyimah MP has left DfE and has joined the Ministry of Justice).

Damian Hinds is the new Employment Minister, taking over from Priti Patel, whilst Penny Mordaunt is the new Minister for Disabled People, Work and Health. The addition of “Work and Health” to this Ministerial title perhaps provides a clue as to the Government’s priorities.
