UCAS end of cycle report 2013

UCAS's end of cycle report has revealed that record numbers of UK applicants have been accepted in to UK Higher Education institutions. 495,596 students were accepted on to full time undergraduate courses which is 6.6% higher than in 2012, and the highest total ever recorded.

Additionally, acceptances of UK students to UK universities reached its highest ever level at 433,612 and students from disadvantaged backgrounds are now more likely than ever to enter Higher Education. Other key findings include: a substantial increase in in the disadvantaged and free school meal entry rate to higher tariff institutions; almost all 18 year old A-level applicants got offers in 2013; and the most selective institutions accepted 10% more students in 2013.
