Introduction to CDI Send Masterclass

This set of four masterclasses will build your confidence and competence to work with young people with SEND/ additional needs or who are disadvantaged/vulnerable. Each one builds on the previous Masterclass so you can book all four or singly depending on where you want to focus. Each will include content to help you navigate the current challenges around delivering during the Corona Virus restrictions (and opportunities).

The Masterclasses will be delivered by Jenny Connick, Founder of Talentino, who specialise in the early career development of young people with SEND in Special Schools. Talentino is also the strategic partner for SEND for the Careers and Enterprise Company.

Masterclass 4 Improving your practice as a Careers Adviser and finding support so you can deliver effective careers guidance for young people with SEND

You will be able to re-consider who young people with SEND are in the two groups - Career SEND Group One and Career SEND Group Two as well as the communication and support needs of each of the two groups. You will be able to identify your barriers and why they exist and what you will have done to overcome them. We will highlight other organisations and resources that will enable you to build effective practice.  You will be clear around the statutory requirements of your role as a Careers Guidance professional and young people with SEND. You will be able to discuss with other delegates different ways your role can be delivered during the webinar and share ideas including considering the requirements of Gatsby BM8 and different ways it can be delivered. We will also touch on a case study where Ofsted used Careers as a deep dive subject.

The Masterclasses will be delivered by Jenny Connick, Founder of Talentino, who specialise in the early career development of young people with SEND in Special Schools. Talentino is also the strategic partner for SEND  for the Careers and Enterprise Company.
