This course is aimed at Employability Practitioners who support clients with successful transition into learning and work. It is highly relevant for those who support long term unemployed and those experiencing barriers to progression

How is the course structured?
The course is offered as either face to face training or on-line. Both pathways are delivered via two full days with the on line via delivery broken into 5 modules. The on-line sessions will be face to face via zoom with your group and trainer in real time. The training is a mix of presentation and activity based and will also provide guidance on how to evidence your learning for assessment purposes. You will receive a workbook to accompany the training and be provided with access to a bank of resources. Your named assessor will support you throughout, helping you to plan your work and providing constructive feedback.
The following OCR units make up the accredited route for this programme. The units selected provide 12 of the 45 credits that make up the QCF level 4 in career Information and Advice; and also 6 of the 60 credits that make up the QCF level 6 in Career Guidance and Development
- Unit 3 Interview clients to determine their need for career information, advice and guidance
- Unit 13 Assist clients to apply for learning, training and work
- Unit 15 Understand how to support specific client groups to overcome barriers to learning, training and work
How is my work assessed?
There is no assessment of work for the non-accredited route. For the accredited route, you will provide evidence of your work practice through observations, assignments, case studies, written accounts and providing work products. Evidence is uploaded to an e-portfolio. Should your submitted work not meet the standard required, your assessor will guide you on what needs to be done before you re-submit.
