CDI Cymru - How to recognise entrepreneurial clients and support them (Free Webinar)

SPEAKER : Professor Andy Penaluna

Director of the International Institute for Creative Entrepreneurial Development, UWTSD, member of the AdvanceHE Global Employability Group and Chair of the UK Quality Assurance Agency's Graduate Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Group

It used to be thought that entrepreneurs were born and not bred, but recent research demonstrates that whilst some traits may be passed on, the majority is learned. Family life, friends and acquaintances and even formal studies all have an impact. However, the enterprising mindset has many facets, so what do you need to look out for?

Whether consciously or subconsciously, enterprising people use processes to define their learning journeys. These can help us to recognize their ways of working, tap into the way that they are thinking and know where and when our interventions can help. By drawing upon his work with the European Commission and United Nations, in addition to over 40 years’ experience of teaching creative approaches to entrepreneurship, Andy will lift the lid on a few things that he has learned.
