We’re celebrating the centenary of the first career development professional body throughout 2022, and there are many ways you can get involved.
#100YearsOfCareers family day at Blists Hill Victorian Town: Event CANCELLED
Sadly, with the increasing pressure of the cost-of-living crisis we have made the difficult decision to cancel this day of celebration. While the event would have been a fantastic opportunity to come together with colleagues and friends from across the profession, we are aware that members are under increasing financial and time pressure.
Everyone who booked tickets will be refunded, and if you have any queries about your booking, please contact membership@thecdi.net.
The ceremony announcing the UK Career Development Awards will now be held virtually – please see the UKCDA page for more information.
Schools competition – careers in 100 years’ time
Our competition for primary schools across the UK, to design a recruitment poster for a job in 100 years’ time, is open until Friday 3rd June. With a £100 prize donated by Trotman publishers, there’s still time to get your entries in.
For more information, see our school competition page.
Career Matters – special edition
We’ve published articles looking at the history of career development in career Matters in January and April, and we’re working on a special October edition of the Career Matters magazine that shares more of the stories and thoughts of members. We are keen to hear from anyone wishing to write an article focused on our past and future centuries as a profession. If you’d like to submit an article, please see the author guidelines and contact the Editor at editor@thecdi.net.
And more to come…
We’re working on more to celebrate in autumn and will post details here as they are confirmed.
